What happens when students go from making in the Makerspace, to making the Makerspace? How do we all address common challenges, such as staffing, scheduling and availability, training, and transfer of knowledge as students graduate? In this Deep-Dive session, we will discuss how Student Leaders can help to ensure a well-integrated and successful MakerSpace program.  Our work will build towards one “crazy idea:” How might we build an independent school community of student Makerspace leaders, providing training and collaboration in technical, design and leadership skills? We hope that this session will be a springboard for a possible ATLIS Student MakerSpace Leadership Certification Program. Join us for this Deep Dive, that is part presentation with case studies, and collaborative Design-Thinking adventure into this fascinating topic.
