Dan McGee
Laurel School Director of Technology & Library Services
Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area
Dan McGee has been working in the field of instructional technology for over 15 years, longer if you count his time as a kid tinkering on his dad's Radio Shack TRS 80. He is Director of Technology & Library Services at Laurel School, where he is also co-chair of Professional Development. Dan and his team lead a One to One laptop program in 8 grade levels, are building Lego robotics and computer science programs, find ways to play Minecraft in the classroom, and 3D print until they can 3D print no more. He seeks to look to the future with curriculum design and works to ensure students have the tools they need to learn the skills of tomorrow. Dan holds a master's degree in German Studies from the University of Cincinnati and a recent master's degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Akron. Dan enjoys traveling and the outdoors, especially the Cuyahoga Valley National Park near his home, and spending time with his wife Gina and son, Henry.
